EdgeNews ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website at edge-news-aggregator.pages.dev. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By using EdgeNews, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We do not require account registration or collect personally identifiable information directly. However, certain information may be collected automatically when you visit the site:

  • Log data — Your browser may send information such as your IP address, browser type, referring pages, and pages visited. This is standard web server logging handled by Cloudflare.
  • Cookies — We and our third-party partners use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the site and serve relevant advertising. See the Cookies section below.
  • Usage data — Cloudflare collects aggregated, anonymised traffic analytics as part of operating the infrastructure. We do not use additional analytics tools.

COOKIES

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Advertising cookies — Used by third-party ad partners (including Google) to serve relevant advertisements and measure ad performance.
  • Infrastructure cookies — Set by Cloudflare for security and performance purposes.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling advertising cookies will not remove ads, but ads may be less relevant to your interests.

THIRD-PARTY ADVERTISING

EdgeNews uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

For more information on how Google uses data from sites that use its advertising services, visit How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

EdgeNews integrates with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

DATA RETENTION

We retain archived news articles and their AI-generated summaries indefinitely as part of the site's archive feature. No personally identifiable user data is stored by EdgeNews directly.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

EdgeNews is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

YOUR RIGHTS

EdgeNews does not collect or store personal user data directly, so there is no personal profile to access or delete on our end.

You do have the right to opt out of personalised advertising served by Google. You can do this via Google Ads Settings or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

For any other privacy concerns, contact us via the Contact page.
